    Please read the guide below and let us know which type of measurement you are providing:

    Roman Blind Recess Size

    Recess Size

    If you want to fit your blind within the window recess as shown above, please provide us with Recess Size measurements.

    To do this you will need to measure inside the window recess from wall to wall for the width and from ceiling to window sill for the drop.

    You should take the measurements three times to make sure you get the most accurate sizes - at the top, at the middle and at the bottom for the width and at the top, the middle and the right for the drop.

    Please give us the smallest of the three measurements for both the width and the drop.

    Make sure you do not make any reductions from these sizes yourself. We'll make your blinds slightly smaller on the width than the sizes you give us to make sure that it fits into the space with enough room for it to be installed easily, while still covering as much of the window as possible.

    If you want to fit your blind outside of the window recess we recommend adding at least 10cm onto the width and 10cm onto the drop. This will give you a 5cm overlap at each edge to help minimise light leakage.

    Measuring Instructions

    Always take your measurements with a steel tape measure to ensure you get accurate readings. Fabric tape measures can stretch and provide false sizes.

    Don't forget to check your measurements two or three times to make sure your blinds will be made to the correct size!

We would like to clarify that, as outlined in the terms and conditions accepted at the time of purchase, any amendments made to the product after delivery unfortunately void the warranty. In this case, it appears the product was altered before we were contacted about the issue, which prevented us from being able to troubleshoot or offer a solution directly. We’ve been supplying this blind for many years and have full confidence in its quality, design, and our trusted supplier. While no product is completely immune to occasional faults, we always welcome the opportunity to investigate and resolve any concerns. Regrettably, since the blind was dismantled by your installer prior to any communication with us, we were unable to assess the issue properly or provide assistance.
