Which Motor Brand Should I Choose?

Following feedback and requests from our customers we now offer a choice of motor brands on all our roller, day and night and double roller blinds. But which one should you go for?

Louvolite One Touch System:

Our go to motor for electric blinds, it features a robust blind motor with an integrated battery that quite simply works whilst offering great value for money.

The key features of this motor include:

• Torque of 1.1nM – More than enough to lift even our largest of roller blinds.
• Battery capacity – This will need charging between 6-9 months on average. This motor is charged with a USB C cable which is included with each blind. 
• Sound in Decibels of 30dB – Similar to whispering nearby
• Guarantee – 5 Years
• Supplied with 1 USB-C 1m charger wire per motor. Please note that the plug is not included, but can be added to your order here.

Somfy Rollup 28 RTS:

Somfy are the market leaders in motor technology, and we’ve used their proprietary RTS technology for years. It's also an excellent system which is why we continue to offer it. This is ideal if you already have Somfy products and want the new blinds to join an existing array of blinds.

The key features of this motor include:

• Minimum order width (specific to Somfy motors): 54cm fabric size due to motor sizing allowances.
• Compatible with the Somfy Tahoma hub which can then be used with Amazon Alexa and Google Home smart automation products.
  If you want to link your blinds with Apple HomeKit please get in touch as a different motor is required for this integration.
• Torque of 0.7nM – Still enough to lift even our largest of roller blinds.
• Battery capacity – This will need charging between 6-9 months on average.
• Sound in Decibels of 54dB – Similar to the sound of a refrigerator running.
• Guarantee – 5 Years

Single Channel Standard Remote

Our most basic remote but still a stylish option, this clean and simple handset operates a single blind and can be wall mounted to be prevent it getting lost or stolen by one of the small and playful members of the family!

Featuring an innovative scroll wheel that allows easy and precise adjustment so you can manage how the fabric aligns to control the right amount of natural light in the room and protect privacy.

Five Channel Luxury Remote

This white multi channel remote features stylish contrasting dark grey accents and is perfect for rooms with multiple blinds that you want to operate from a single handset. Most commonly you would use the first four channels for operating blinds individually and the fifth channel to operate them together, but you can set up any variation you like. A discreet wall mount is included with this remote.

Single Channel Wall Switch

Designed to be wall mounted, wall switches are a stylish way to control your blind without the worry of losing the remote.

Many customers choose to mount theirs next to the light switch so their blinds can be operated alongside the lighting when they enter or leave the room. It has a battery low indicator so you can replace your battery before it runs out and comes in a classic white finish with a battery included.
